@susy Hi Susy, that's right, in this period I am very busy with the production of the film entirely shot with an Iphone12 pro max and Iphone 8. A lot of work still to be organized, rehearsals with the actors, shooting plan, directions with an audio engineer, costume designer, set designer, a crew that I managed to organize for a low budget film, and I also convinced Retro F 😉 to create some music for the films together with other musicians to make original music.
A lot of concentration, we want to do a good job, the film is demanding as a story and realization, beyond the difficulties of the pandemic that has already made us jump the beginning of several weeks of the film.

@carterlil I recommend you listen to episode 95 of the SBP Podcast which explains a bit about audio. They used external audio and a recorder with mics. Audio is very important for films and videos. More than the visual. Without knowing specifics about your project it's tough to get specific. Do you have someone who can help you? If so a boom mic and external audio may help. You may also need ADR or if it's not available, literally...you can use separate phones and record the tracks there. If you have iPhones you can use the "memo" recorder which works amazingly well. You can use EarPods as lavs. It just depends.

@keyboardistjoe Hi Keyboarddistjoe, I am Susy. During the Smartphone Filmmaking panels last week we spoke about that topic. Especially about working with limited resources including lighting and sound. I would recommend you watch the panel videos and listen to my podcast on mobile filmmaking to get information. If you have specific questions I may be able to answer in more detail. And that is the same with other members here. You can also tag them by going to the Members page and tagging a specific member here like I tagged you. Here is the link: https://mobilefilmstories.com/community/members/

Hope that helps. Welcome to The Quad.
